The Children’s Diagnostic and Treatment Center helped children with special needs and their families kick off a new school year with outdoor back-to-school brigades. Volunteers and their dogs from Canine Assisted Therapies visited each vehicle while nearly 600 children received a new backpack and supplies. Each family also received groceries from Helping Hands Food Drives, a gift card to assist with hurricane supplies and a wellness kit from Broward Health.
