Hundreds of superhuman masked avengers and caped crusaders ran the annual KID Hero 5K through Vista View Park in Davie to support the 11,000 children and families served by the Kids in Distress, Inc. organization each year. This year’s run raised more than $40,000 that will directly aid the organization’s efforts to remove thousands of children from dangerous home situations and place them into foster care.
