Burt Reynolds plays a mostly retired film star of yesteryear (yeah, we can see that) who accepts a trip to Nashville to receive a lifetime achievement award from a film festival where things don’t exactly go to plan.
4. A Tree. A Rock. A Cloud.
Savor Cinema, Date: November 18, Time: 6:30 p.m.
Director and screenwriter Karen Allen will receive the festival’s lifetime achievement award alongside the screening of her short film based on the story by Carson McCullers. Allen, a screen actor for four decades (Animal House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Scrooged) has in recent years directed for theater. This is her film directorial debut.
