Veg on the River
Jonny NoBones at the Old Riverhouse Vegan Village, 301 SW 3rd Ave., 954.233.2667, riverhouseveganvillage.com
One of the oldest buildings in Fort Lauderdale, the historic Riverhouse, is now home to Jonny NoBones Vegan Village. As you may have guessed, the restaurant’s menu is entirely plant-based. There are also plans to have a dinner cruise depart from the dock, as well as a farmer’s market on the patio. Vegan cuisine probably wasn’t too familiar in 1903 to brothers Tom and Reed Bryan when they were moving into the next-door New River homes that would become the Riverhouse, but it’s making good use of the old homestead now.
